先日、カナダで初めてのプライドパレードに参加しました！韓国人の友達2人と、その友達のカナダ人1人、計4人で参戦！カナダ人の方とは初対面でしたが、カナダではこういう出会いが本当によくあり、最近は何の抵抗もなく楽しめるようになったな〜と歩きながら考えていました。笑
興味深かったのは、韓国人の友達が「韓国のプライドパレードと比べるとめっちゃ平和だ」と言っていたことです。韓国はクリスチャンの方が多く、パレード中に叫び合いになることもあるそうです。確かにそれと比べるとカナダのパレードは、音楽良し、雰囲気良しのお祭りムード！確かに平和だと思いました。きっと各国で違った背景や雰囲気があって、ますます色んな国のパレードに参加したいなぁ〜と思った日でした。必ず実現させます！

The other day, I joined my first Pride Parade in Canada! I went with two Korean friends and one Canadian friend of theirs, making a total of four of us. It was my first time meeting the Canadian friend, but in Canada, meeting new people like this happens frequently, and I’ve grown accustomed to enjoying it without feeling nervous. I was thinking about that while we were walking.
One interesting thing was when one of my Korean friends said, “Compared to Pride Parades in Korea, this one is so peaceful.” In Korea, there are Christians, and sometimes they end up shouting at people in the parade. Compared to that, the parade in Canada felt like a big festival with great music and a happy atmosphere!
I’m sure every country has its own background and mood for Pride Parades, and this made me want to join parades in more countries. I’ll definitely make it happen!
